First 2006 US/Canada production X5 4.8iS is 5UXFA93596LE83550, August 24 2005, black exterior on black interior, Canadian version.

Last 2006 US/Canada production X5 4.8iS is 5UXFA93556LE85019, August 30, 2006, imola red exterior on black interior, US version.

EU versions were made for another month or so.

Um.. der. Final year model. No manufacturer is going to make more than they need when a new one is 10 months away. Too many of them equals 'last years' model on the showroom floor right next to the new ones.

Accountants accept $6.2B bailout while engineers design new M5. 2008 production run of US dollar bills goes up. Engineers won that round, imo.
