DSP is Garbage, anyone "delete" it and amp up with an afermarket?

I know there are posts around on this, but, I am not smart enough to put in the proper search terms I guess.
I have a factory DSP/Nav in a 2001 X5. I bought a bezel from Rich, and have installed a Pioneer Avic unit. I have everything run up front already, and have run the rca wires to the back. I have pulled everything associated with the factory system in the back except for the wiring.
HOW DO I TAP INTO THE FACTORY SPEAKERS NOW THAT I HAVE PULLED THE DSP AMP? WHAT ARE THE COLOR CODES? DO I NEED TO CUT THE SPEAKER GROUND WIRES FROM THE CURRENT LOCATION AND RUN THEM THROUGH THE AMP, OR JUST LEAVE THEM ALONE. I USED TO BE REALLY GOOD AT WIRING CARS AS A TEENAGER. THE TWENTY YEARS THAT HAVE PASSED LEFT ME IN THE DUST. EVERYTHING SEEMED PRETTY EASY, AND NOW I AM KIND OF LOST. I AM SCARED TO TRY ANYTHING UNTIL I FIND THE PROPER INFORMATION ONLINE.
I have a 10 channel crossover I am installing, along with a couple 4 channel amps once I have this information.
By the way, Rich's bezel was well worth the money. Looks factory. Thanks.

I have everything wired except for the rear door mid range speakers. I even have the subs wired in. I have looked at all of the schematics, and had some wonderful advice from forum members through private messaging.
I cannot find these leads at the amp. I have tried most of the wires back there, but nothing.
Can anyone tell me which wires belong to the rear midrange speakers, and maybe which harness they are on?
I removed a factory DSP system to put this in.

Not to be Debbie Downer, but why bother with the rear speakers? I usually sit facing the stage at concerts.

Just have a good front set of speakers and your sub and you'll be good to go. Rear fill is tough to do "right".

I suppose if you can't find them, hook up your sound system and see how it sounds, you may like it, if you can't locate them, you could run speaker wires directly from the speakers to your amo, but that's a lot of work to do as well, but if you must have them amped up...those are your options, I don't know why u cannot locate the circuits. This may be idiotic but make sure your "drill" battery is charged fully?

Got them. They were in a separate harness. The harness contained 4 sets of sub wires (blue/brown and yellow brown) and then there was another set of each same color combimnation that went to the rear speakers.
Thanks for all the help. Because of all the help I got on this forum, I installed a Pioneer Avic x910bt, microphone, HD radio, XM radio, Ipod, 10 way cross-over powering 2 separate 4x75 amps for the stock speakers, and a mono 400 watt for a Kicker Sub. I also installed some noise filters, and an aftermarket antenna on the inside glass.
The sound in this truck is amazing. After about 12 hours of work, it should be. Thanks again guys.

Thanks for the info on the DSP replacement Amp. I'm a little confused about the channel configurations. you can go six channel two way, six channel three way, four channel three way, etc.
What determines the number channels, two way, three way?
I'm looking to buy a five channel amp and then adding something like audiocontrol DQXS etc.

on1: why 5-channel? If you are going aftermarket, just get a set of component speakers for the front (check out Hybrid Audio Technologies -- I got my set at 12velectronics.com), a sub of somesort if you want that, and amp those. The HAT speaker set I got came with crossovers, so you only need a 2 channel amp to power those. I got a separate amp for the "subs", as it were.

I don't understand the need to put speakers (other than a sub/very low frequency) in the rear of the vehicle. The front soundstage is what is important. Rear fill is difficult to do right w/out time alignment equipment.

Admranger: can I keep my existing speakers. The only reason I'm changing the DSP amp out is because I'm changing out the front end and replacing with a Dynavin or Hauligan and they don't integrate with DSP amps.
