Boot lid Remote Opening Problem & knocking noise

Hi Guys,

My 03 plate x5 has a problem when you use the remote bootlid button from in the car or on the car key - it opens it and then immediately closes. If you're outside the car and press the open boot button on the car key whilst pulling open the boot with your other hand it opens fine. It just seems like the boot is too heavy or the lifters aren't clearing it of the locking mechanism..

The boot has also developed an annoying knocking/creaking noise which I'm sure is coming from the boot lid. Although to be fair I have messed around with the spare wheel a bit of late..

I've done a search and some people mention replacing 'buffer stop ejectors?'
