Double din head units question

I searched around and saw few post on aftermarket head units, my question for those that have done it already, which brand/model can be setup to work with the buttons on the steering wheel? I am more interested in having it work with my phone button....if you have it...how easy was it to install/setup?

02' 3.0 w/o Nav.

thx

Look, as long as you have the pac x universal just about all the navis will work with the steering wheel in the X5.

Amazon.com: PAC SWIX Universal.S.Wheel Interface: Automotive <
