				What tires? '03 X5 4.4i

Size is 255/55/18 all around - no stagger. I've had a set of Conti's for the past 2+ years and have been very happy with the wet, dry and noise levels but they are worn out and I'm starting to get a lot of pull on uneven surfaces. I'm looking at the Conti ExtremeContact DWS model and it appears to have great reviews on one of the major tire sellers websites but they are on backorder and I'm afraid that I will need them within the next 30 days just to be safe. I like the combination of price / performance of the Conti's but don't have a problem spending a few more dollars if necessary. I am not looking for pure dry performance but rather an overall package that is very safe in the wet and can handle very light snow (maybe once a year and it only sticks around for about a week). I have no interest in storing a set of winter tires. This vehicle is used to haul the kids around so safety is my #1 concern. Thanks in advance. |

try the Toyo Proxes ST II. I think they make that size i have them on my 20s and LOVE them, lots of other people on this forum have had the same results. for example, i have huge wheels on my car now (315mm in the rear) and driving through a downpour today i felt completely safe

Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza all season is what I'm running on my X5 4.4i with same tire size as you. Had them on for 2 + years and they are very quiet and nice looking tire. Plenty of tread left too. Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza
