Oh the things I would do with that silver 4.6iS.

Just beautiful... and begging to have miles put on it.

Auction Results

Here are the numbers on the X's:

2003 4.6is Silver $44,000.00

2005 4.8is Black $51,700.00

2005 4.8is Red $49,500.00

2006 4.8is Blue $60,500.00

2006 4.8is Red $55,000.00

These prices do include the 10% buyers commission.

Very healthy numbers if I do say so myself. Will be interesting to see them soon when the new owners try to flip them for a profit.

How exactly are they going to flip them for a profit? Those prices are already exaggerated IMO. I guess only a 'collector' or someone with money to burn would be interested.

I doubt any of them would be able to sell for a profit, I was just imagining the ebay ads

looks like most went for about $16k over Kelley Blue Book for suggested retail on a 100 mile car in excellent condition

wow!

Those really brought out a lot of money. I wonder if it was one buyer or multiple. In any event, I may need to consider seeing how much my 2900 mile 2006 4.8is may bring. Keep an eye on ebay.

I am sure he has been claiming business depreciation on them.

If he purchased them in a company's name with the associated tax, title, registration, insurance then most certainly he can claim depreciation, however Uncle Sammy isn't stupid and it doesn't take an A+ accountant to figure out that the cars were not used for such purposes (ie. where is the mileage deduction, etc). etc. Long story short, hello Mr. Audit.
