King

To King, I've sent you a private message with my email address. Not sure how or if you're able to see when new messages have arrived.
thanks

The attached pic shown the CD extansion cable you will need. It should plug in to your radio module under the spare tire on one end (white plug) and into your 6 pin connector on the back of the CD changer on the other end. Disconnect the single blk coax cable from your CD changer...you will no longer need it.

There is a good writeup under the stereo section with pics. Here's the link...

Sirius install with NAV ...

Good news is I already have this cable. Bad news is it doesn't fit (unless I'm doing something very wrong). The cable arrived to me from BMW with the white plastic end (and black plastic insert) in a separate bag. So I'm assuming this should not be the case? Regardless, the white plastic end doesn't seem to fit in the harness on the back of the radio.
***It just dawned on me to try to plug it directly to the back of the radio. Will try that tonight.
So if I'm understanding correctly, the CD Changer should be first in the daisy chain, then the Sirius receiver? Any chance you know the correct placement of the 3 wires into the white plastic end?
thanks

Yes the CD extension cable usually comes with the connector in a separate bag because the wiring is different for the different models. You need to insert the wire pins in the black piece first and then slide the white plastic over and it will snap in place. Then plug in this cable from your radio module to the back of your CD changer. It's not really a daisy chain setup. Here's the pin outs:

PIN2: white/brn
PIN7: white/red
PIN8: white/blu

This is just from memory! I will confirm once I get home tonight. Did you not get any install instructions with your Sirius receiver?? It's really not that difficult. Take a look at the Stereo section in the articles on this site. There is also a copy of the BMW sirius instructions posted there...
