Converted to coil springs-Need to delete "self leveling susp" error!!

Sorry haven't responded yet. I was waiting to see what Justin could find out from weasel and killcrap. Since you seem to have some helpful info. on this can you post the link which has the necessary info. you mentioned?

I use DIS v43 so maybe that's an old enough version.

I think your version will be good. I talked to a shop in St. Louis and he said you need a GT1 computer with version 44 or older in order to get it to work.

They say it is not a matter of if, but when they will go bad. So, I am strongly considering coilovers but I don't really want to lower the vehicle. How did yours affect the ride height? I strongly recommend that you replace with coil springs also. I simply ordered OEM BMW coil springs made for the X5 3.0. Also, you need to order upper and lower springs pads, and the adapter for the upper spring pad. That's it. Total parts cost me about $400 after taxes. The ride height is exactly the same as stock, just as I wanted it. If you decide to lower, probably your costs would go up.

I was unable to replace the springs myself (I tried, and wasted 5 hours of my time)-I spent $205 at a local import shop and it was money WELL SPENT.

Even if you can't get rid of the Self Leveling Susp. Inactive warning, it's still worth it to do the Coils. No more worries about the useless air spring system! We will certainly report our findings if we can successfully get rid of this warning message.

No pics at the moment, but I can try and get to that by the weekend.

Not sure if it helps but my Indy got ride of the "Self_Level Susp. Inactive" error for good. He will be able to get ride of it for sure.
