Aux Fan - Cheapest Place to Buy!!

Hey all wanted to share a great bargain with you all.

After buying my X5 I found I needed to do the very common and dreaded fix... replacing the faulty auxiliary fan. I did hours of research into rebuilding the existing fan at local electric shops, replacing with similar motors, and finally the cheapest OE replacement. After several more hours researching the dozens of price comparison sites and individual dealer sites, I found most of these fans to be priced around $442, with the high side at $530, and the very cheapest at $420. In getting on Ebay, there were a couple at $400, and one for $320.... 320 bucks? c'mon. I called the company, autolampsplus, and talked to the sales guy for about a half hour about the company and the product. He said he can't keep these aux fans on the shelf, why the hell are they so popular??? I said it doesn't surprise me and the guys on my site would definitely benefit, so he said throw in a good word for me and I'll knock $10 bucks off, which he did. At only $15 shipping, the total for me was 325 bucks! He also said since we are individuals and part of this site, you can mention you are on xoutpost and want that discounted rate, and you will get yours for $325 shipped as well. The guys name is Josh, and can be reached at 954-746-7114 and email is [email protected]. They also have a bunch of other stuff for the X5 specializing in headlamps and taillights and stuff like that, but since I don't need any of that I didn't really do an pricing comparisons. For those of you nervous of the company or the quality, I will be posting follow up threads when I get it on Friday, when I install it, and after a month or so of usage.
Hope this can save some of you some green so you can spend it on things a little more fun for your X.
Brian
