Door Lock / Different Issue

Your problem is different than what I fixed- mine was not unlocking w/ the remote when temps got below 60 degrees F.

Your's sounds more mechanical- I'd check the linkages from the handle to the latch mechanism. The cables really won't stretch much, so I'd look to see if the ends are seated properly (the bike-like cable ends).

Good luck.

I just ordered my front passenger side actuator, price has gone up to $145 :-( I've been inside the door a couple times already, is there any tips or tricks aside from "have a Torx30 handy"? all the times i was in there i never looked at how to get at this to replace.

Not really, just what I posted previously above. It's pretty straight-forward.

Yep, my left rear door lock actuator (assembly) and door carrier assembly (lock and hardware base) went out on me too. I will be fixing it this weekend if the parts arrive on time. Times are tough, so I shopped around pretty hard. The best price I found was BMWMercedesparts.com - I got the actuator for $150.50 and the carrier assembly for $86.16, no taxes and free shipping. Total $236.66, not bad. Thanks everyone for posting your instructions to help me do this job easier. Take care.
