Maybe you should wait a day so the cam angle sensors can fail and the CV boots can start leaking. That way, you can get it all out of the way at once

Thanks dude. Actually replaced the passenger's CV a LOOOOONG time ago. Forgot about that. It was cheap.

Here's the horror of today's fiasco....

Too bad there's plastic all around it or else I'd plasma cut that sumbitch right off!!

Woke up at 4am to crazy thunderstorm, couldn't fall back asleep and got up at 530 for a 7am breakfast meeting. Couldn't wait to finish and head to the shop. Of course, UPS did not leave me my packages from partsgeek.com as they did yesterday. DAMN!

I burned through 10 more blades this AM, in the rain, thanks to god, but I couldn't seem to get all the way through the water pump shaft, just too hard. Well I had a lightbulb go off and I unbolted the fan from the clutch, removed it and the shroud, instead of working around it, unbolted what was left of the pulley, unbolted the water pump and jammed a long pry bar into the nut's cut channel. It pulled it right off. Easy as pie. That pump ass'y and fan clutch is mangled! The plastic pump impeller also had some curious wear on it:

I'll replace the longer drive belt which was nicked, and clean everything off with brake cleaner to get all the gunk off the pulleys, etc. and install everything tomorrow.
