Auxiliary cable connection to X5

I got the AUX installed on the ashtray. A hole needs to be drilled in the box on the top and bottom.( steel & Plastic).

But now the problem is, the volume is very low. i selected the option 1 to 5 and hit the max, still the volume is distorted and not good.

i looked in the forums for low volume and noise, but there is no def. solution from any one.

I use a Blackberry and cranked the volume to the high and the car volume as well.

looks like AUX option is not a great idea..

...whereas I fitted the same Aux-in to my E46 M3 and the sound quality was brilliant from both my iphone and ipod.

Maybe it's the blueberry-thing you're using?
