New X5 owner
This is my first X5 and wondering if i got a good deal. Its a 2006 with 70k on it and I picked it up for just over 19k. I dont have many plans for it since my wife will be using it for the most part to haul the kids around in. The one thing I would like to put in is a nav. unit, but I hear the OEM one is crap. Anyone have some suggestions for an after market one? Thanks |

Congratulations and welcome to the X Outpost, Please let us know if it's 3.0,4.4 or 4.8is and what options only then one can tell if it's a good deal or not.
Am sure some memebers will chime on the aftermarket Nav unit, I have a old tom tom in my beater and OEM nav on my X, i like the look of the OEM nav and has enough options for me to not want to change it, however am new to the X as well and am finding my way around it, seems to have a lot of hidden features (This car) and the members here have helped me unlock some of them. |

I think Garmin is good. easy to use, fast calculation, and reliable. and yes the OEM is holy crap. the price range of Garmin $100~200. if you do not like messy wire. you can charge it and use it without wire or you can purchase a pad which hold the navi in tight on your dashboard. And you should know that X5's power jack is "always on" type. so you need to unplug it when you park your car, the navi will not turn off automatically.

Sorry its a 3.0 with just about all the options other than the sport package and nav. the original sticker was just under 60K
