Exclamation BMW CPO...what does it actually cover????

Ok ,so i have read the BMW CPO book. It is clear that "up-keep" and "maintenance" items are not covered, but it is "conveniently" vague about that it covers.

So in lame terms....would it cover stuff like.....?????

1.Window regulators
2.oil leaks (like from the bottom oil gasket
3.Lets say the sunroof is stock/leaks
4.car overheats
5.windshield wipers stop operating
6. etc

yes all of those are covered... bumper to bumper on keeping stuff working like normal

what is not covered is the maintenance part (ie: wear and tear items):
- brake system (pads, rotors, sensors, fluid)
- fluids (oil, coolant)
- wiper blades
- etc...

I've read it, too.

I have no clue...it is vague on purpose, imo. Also pricey for 2 yrs worth of coverage, imo.

I agree, it seems rediculously vague on purpose. I'll have to see what happens the next time I take my car in. I've got some things that seem like they would be covered, but I'm not really sure. So, let's say I go in with more than one problem, all of them are covered under the CPO warranty, do I pay only one deductible of $50, or do I pay $50 for each item repaired?

JWalsh:
My interpretation of the CoverPoofOnly deal is that it's a $50 buck hit per visit...that visit could include a laundry list of items. I too, am curious to see how it goes for you. Maybe taking it in with a "padded list" will help you get the real stuff covered and fixed. I also suspect that some of you whom have a good relationship with your dlr may find that goes along way in getting stuff "covered"...as to whether that same stuff is covered when one staggers in from an interstate exit to unknown BeamER stlr is another question. I remain unconvinced of the real "coverage"...it seems like a mkting jazz to move off-lease and used cars.

I talked with my dealer in Atlanta yesterday. They have a little flexibility when it comes to taking care of items under the original warranty. I will hit the end of the regular warranty probably by the end of this month...but I still have another 50k miles on the CPO warranty. I feel a lot better about that.
