I am suspecting that the 04-06 4.8is will retain a certain value for a while... I looked at all of the new SAVs BMW is coming up with and it seems like the 4.8is is the biggest displacement they ever made for them.

They all sport the 4.4 now or a smaller displacement for lower trim levels.

The naturally aspirated N62B48 will probably remain a hot item IMO.

I guess if people want the right to say they have a naturally aspirated engine. Bigger displacement wouldn't mean much to me. I think more people will care about the performance, and the turbo models will be far more desirable IMO.

See what happens to values of the last M5 when the new M5 blows it into the weeds with a smaller (turbo) engine with fewer cylinders.
