All aluminum suspension makes it hard to hook to, most tow trucks just use the straps that go over the wheels. If you can get the wheel straps that is really the safest and best way to hold down BMWs. The only other places would be the tow hooks and trailer hitch if installed...

I wouldn't use the suspension parts that's for sure.
On my M3 there are tie-down locations just behind each tire, a 2" long slot for a t-hook to attach. This is how they were tied down when originally shipped to the US, my GTO has similar slots, I figured the X5 may have them also. Tire straps are nice but won't work for the trailer and cost even more $$.

There are slots like that you can use where the lift pads are, just remove the lift pads and hook into there. Just watch that you don't pull too tight to the point of bending the metal.

The only way I tie any race car on my trailer is through the wheels. Or over the wheels with wheel nets. By going through all 4 wheels you get the car good and tight, and the car can still float on it's suspension on the trailer. Plus you dont have to crawl under the car.
