I want to add a reversing camera & wireless camera; I've read the articles and past posts. I've ordered a camera from ebay and about to get a relay. Do I need the AV connection cable from Tvonnav.com and if I do, does that mean I don't need the relay? Or does it just make connecting the TV module easier? Occasionally I tow a horse trailer, Land Rover do a remote wireless camera that you can situate inside the trailer or over the hitch connection and display the picture on the monitor inside the car. I don’t think BMW do anything similar. So, I’ve found a NTSC 12V wireless 0 lux camera with a receiver with AV connectors on ebay. If I ordered this and connect it to the AV connection cable from tvonnav.com, would I need the TV in motion module for it to display whilst driving? Thanks |

yes you need some sort of AV connection; you can modify your cable or buy a cable populated with the AV ends
you need the relay to use the reverse lights (reverse lights need to trigger a negative ground for the TV module to use the camera inputs) you can do anything without the module as long as your speed is less than 5mph. if you are going more than 5mpg, it won't display the image without the tvonnav or other module. |
