214 STAGGARED REPLICAS

Hey everyone, I just bought some staggered 214 replica wheels for my e53. 4.4l. They are 20x9.5 and 20x10.5. The rears have a et of 50 and when I put them on the hub the inside of the wheel is about 1mm from touching the inside of the wheel well. This is with the suspension unloaded. When you compress the suspension it's about 1" from the wheel well. The question is has anyone else had this problem and do I need the install hubcentric wheel spacers. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
