Thanks, man. i think your 3.0 has the valvetronic engine that's why you hear the melodic sound. i don't... but weasel brought in a good point to just replace my mufflers.

No, the 3.0i in the E53's are non valvetronic (M54)... the E70 has the valvetronic 3.0i. (N52)
