iPod Integration...where to mount?

I was wondering if people could post their pics of where they keep their integrated iPod in their X5? I'm trying to find a functional yet aesthetically pleasing place to install my iPod...

The shop that installed my sub amp ran the icelink wire into the center console through the opening where the hinges come out. Sorry for the lack of photos, but it's dark and raining hard right now.

I have a mini and my wife has a nano. Since they use the same connection but not docking station, we didn't get a docking station and left the wire hanging free. We just hook them up and let them sit in the console for now. I'm planning on making some sort of mount at some point, but haven't taken the time yet, and I'm not sure if I want to bother. Apple changes their stuff so quickly and often that I'll be surprised if I'm not looking for an adapter of some sort in less than a year for the latest and greatest iPod.

I've also considered buying a used iPod and just leaving it in the car.

I also mounted my ipod in the console bin (below the armrest) as UCrewX5 did.
don't really need to put them outside since you can control via steering wheel

Mine is not "mounted" per se. It's in the glove compartment. When I did the OEM BWM iPod connection, they run the wire to the glove compartment, which suits me just fine.

I have to have mine within reach of the controls because I have it plugged in via the OEM AUX input cable.
