Also is navigation traffic implemented on the HL? I know that iGo supports it.
What new harness? I don't know about the traffic. I will look into it and let you know.

I have done it this way because the dsp amp does not turn on by just connecting the HL unit. You have to trick the DSP amp to stay on.
I hope this helps for now. Hualingan is sending me a new harness to try it out.
It is unclear to me how this new harness is going to solve the DSP issue. For the DSP amp to turn on and stay on the HL has to send communication on the IBUS every 10 seconds. The amp picks this up and continues to stay on. I'll bet Hualingan thought they needed to send an electrical signal to the amp and hence, a new harness.

Hualingan must have already figured out how to get on the IBUS as they can respond to steering wheel controls. It should be very easy for them to emulate the message required to turn on the amp.

Oh ok, I forgot about that. I received last week half of my order and next week the rest and I was told that the harness will be in this coming half although I don't think the harness will fix the dsp problem. I think the harness they sent me is for the nav equipped cars. They told me that I have to connect to the battery compartment where actually you find the radio for nav cars.
Anyway I can test one new HL unit on my DSP car and see if they fixed it. I will let you guys know tomorrow. You're right though, that's the way they should fix it, on the iBus not with a harness.
