Final Stage Resistor is hot, not working, 2nd try here
Could I have had a bad resistor from the dealer? If so, where can I order one and have it overnighted to me? |

If the FSR is warm then it's probably working since there's current flowing. Blower motor is probably still good or it wouldn't be drawing current. Could be your blower fan bearings are seized?

FSR did not help
I am at a loss. With key out of ignition i replaced the FSR with a new one I got today and it did not start the blower working again. Is there any way to reset this? I then unplugged it and plugged back in with the engine running, nothing. The fuse was fine as well. Ugh.

Blower motor may be bad. Take it to an indy and have it checked.

It's working, but not how I expected
I put in the FSR. No luck. I remembered last time I opened the blower motor sides by moving back the the things on the sides. I stuck my hand in and moved it manually to see if the fan would spin. I closed the blower motor, put back in the original, old style FSR and who would have guessed. It worked. For how long we will see.

I heard that they can develop flat spots. I had this problem too. Mine didn't work for about two weeks and without doing anything it started again. Just fine now for almost a year.
How did you access the blower motor sides? |
