Doors unloicked & all windows open half way

Woke up this morning to see that my X5 3.D sport was unlocked and all four windows were half open. It had been raining too and you know what happened! The seats and carpet got wet!

Any ideas as to why the doors became unlocked and the windows opened? Im adamant I locked and closed all the windows lastnight before entering the house.

You must of had your key stuck in your pocket or something because you were most likely holding on the "Unlock" button for too long....

Holding/pressing the UNLOCK button on your key will open all doors, open all windows, sunroof, etc.. However, if you are holding the button (pressing it not knowing) and let the button go, the windows wont continue to open, they stop.

I am also lucky (Australia keys must be programmed this way, i think I read US keys arent.. could be wrong) that by pushing the LOCK button continuously, will close all windows, Sunroof and lock the car.

Im in the UK. Will test that out as I wasnt aware of being able to close all windows/sunroof by pressing the lock button. Does it needs to be pressed continuously or a few times?

I think press and hold until windows up or down.

On a different note, what features can be turned on using an ODBC device. Im thinking of things like side mirrors folding when doors locked with remote, auto lock once car is in motion, etc

You can do the latter, but not the former.

Alarm chirp is one.When activated it beeps once on lock and twice on unlock.
It is possible to have the mirrors fold in with the key fob but you would need to have auto fold mirrors and an intravee fitted.

I have folding mirrors but this can only be done using the button near the mirror adjusters. Does this mean It can be programmed to work when the doors are locked with the remote?
