I replaced mine today. It's not that difficult of a job. It took me about 2.5 hours and it was easier than expected. I did not remove the power steering pump as the E46 fanatics mentioned. Once I got the housing loose there was plenty of play to remove the gasket there in place and put the new one in. I did remove the vanos bolt from the back side because it wasn't that difficult. Overall I am happy this is done. On to the next project!!
