If you want to really have the OEM look, you can find a TV Tuner Module and tap into that. That's what I did in my E38. Bought a camera on eBay and mounted inside the bumper trim. (which the X5 lacks) I also added a factory looking black switch so I can flip it on while moving forward. This method requires a relay and taping into the Reverse light as well as running wires front to rear.
