X5 3.0ltr Burning rubber smell
Hi guys,

Yesterday i experienced a strange burning rubber smell under the bonnet of my 2001 3.0ltr X5. There was little bit of smoke that was coming from the left handside of the engine down around the exhaust/extractors area. I did a search on the forum and a few people indicated it might be an oil sperator. Is there anything else i can look for that would confirm this?
