4.8is misfire, x-pipe issue?

Dealer pulled codes saying it's misfiring on all cylinders and running like sh&t. I'm warranty so no issue there. Worried they may attribute it to the xpipe saying it's running rich or something. Feedback? I know there is an sib out there for the n62 up to a 2005 production date. Car is an 06. Was there an updted sib by chance?

Thx

Inane an x pipe and exhaust and no issues. Probably due to something else.

I would bet its your intermediate levers, same issue in my 2004 4.4i. Do you ever get a shake in cold weather upon start up?

wait youre in california, you wouldnt experience that. but i would definitely say have them check intermediate levers

I need to research this. For some reason I thought the X5, at least the 4.8, had 8 coils.

Yes, 1 coil per cylinder. Either he needed more than one coil, or it wasn't misfiring on all cylinders as originally posted.

Was told one bad coil can cause more than one cylinder to misfire..
Have no idea.
