Newbie

Hello!

I'm here to familiarize myself with the X5. I already own a 2002 330i and would like to get a 2002 and up 3.0L X5 for my wife. What should I look out for when I go test drive? Is there a particular problem these SAVs have? And what X5 models can be used with an Ipod? I if you recently purchased one CPO or non CPO could you post drive out price. So far in my area CPO 2002 are going for 32k and up. While non cpo are going for 26k and up.

JO

:welcome: Check the first section on the homepage for some great basic introductory information about X5's.

There are a handful of known problems but nothing that will make or break your decision. You own a BMW so you're well aware of the issues. Window regulators, A/C final resistor, rattles, dead pixels in the MID, etc. The iPod can be used in all X5's via a few different options.

Good luck!

lol! have had two X5s -- a first year first month production 01 4.4 and an 03 4.6 and have only had minor problems -- trunk latch in the 01 was replaced (they all were) and a failed door lock actuator in the 03. otherwise, smooth sailing...

kudos and welcome
