NCX changed his roundel to CF, you can find all of them in different colors on Ebay. http://search.ebay.com/search/search...&fsop=1&fsoo=1

Funny you should mention this...Just had TWO stolen off of TWO e36's...One right after the other! It was for the trunk (boot) but it still made me sick...

Most likely, it just delaminated. I've had this happen on two prior Bimmers with higher mileage (~60+K). It's a ten buck part and a very easy replacement. It comes as one piece, the plastic backer and decal and clear cover. Held in place by two rubber grommets set in the hood.

Don't sweat it, and by all means have them warranty it if you're under 50K!

By the sound of my dealer, this peeling/delam is a moderately frequent problem. Easily covered under factory warranty. Thanks for the input.

I remember when the BMW roundel was chrome and enamel. Now they are plastic and laminate. What are you going to do? Pay your money and get a replacement. Good luck
