diagnostic problem on X5 4.4i?

Hi, my friend's X5 recently have some problem. and the diagnostic computer showed the code below:
SELFI.EVELSVSP.INACT

does anyone know what it means? that will be so much appreciated...

Do a search and you will find many discussions on this fault code. It is most likely an air suspension problem.

Search this forum on "air suspension error". You will get pages of threads.

Your first step in diagnosing it is to get the codes read, otherwise you are searching blindly for what the cause may be. Possibilities include the air compressor, wiring harness, or any of the level sensors.

Great advice. Also check your air springs (front and rear sets, if so equipped). They will develop leaks over time. It could be your ride height control module too (the "EHC," if you have one), and maybe the fuses.
