2005 X5.. 65K miles... I believe I have the same issue.. However, in the dealer's quote.. the part of listed as 13-71-7-503-145 which seems like a different part and costs $90. Is this the correct part?

Just fixed a friends X3 who had the same broken tube on the intake hose, cost $40 shipped from Auto Parts at AutohausAZ - OEM Auto Parts - Discount Replacement Parts, Resources and Car Care Tips, then used a writeup I found online specific to the X3 since the engine bay is smaller than the X5's.

Just had to replace this intake part (tube elbow) on my tractor today due to rough running engine, poor power, and a plethora of codes on my BavAuto code reader. Won't post my pic as it looks just like those already provided. A couple of notes I did not see yet in this very helpful thread:

1. To get at the clamps mating the elbow to the throttle housing. Working from front of car above engine with upstream intake parts removed, I came at clamps from below and slightly rear. I used a 1/4 in. hex drive which allowed a small amount of play to grab the head well from the least possible angle. I came over the top from behind with my left hand to hold each loose clamp in place with one finger while nursing the hex drive with my right.

2. DON'T THROW OUT THE OLD "JUCTION" and "SEALING RING" that are probably still in your unserviceable "tube elbow". My Bentley manual refers to these with an illustration on page 130-17. Without this picture, I may have missed these separate parts and suffered the ensuing frustrations.

3. Mine is a Florida truck and probably began cracking at ~ 90k. This should probably be replaced every 75k.

4. My Bavarian Autosport fault code reader/reset tool gave the following codes from table 19: EE, F2, FO, F3, EF, F1, E3, E4, C6, CA. (I replaced my pre-cat O2 sensors last year.)
