Yep.. and in my experience, Brembo OEM replacement rotors are garbage. In one case, the last two rotors available were made in different countries! Its hard to come to that conclusion however, as I've only driven on two sets (small sample size).

'lower end consumables' ... love that phrase!

I personally think Raybestos Advanced Tech are of decent quality. Interested to see if anyone has ever used Cryo Stops..

I've turned BMW rotors plenty of times, just make sure they're still within the mins after the turn, otherwise toss them. I even have a local shop that who I send them to that only charges $5 per rotor, old guy who's super nice and does a great job.

mine has been pretty good. not perfect, mind you, but well within what I would expect from a 113K mile vehicle of just about any brand.
