Xenon Adaptive Operation
I have an X5 4.8is 2006 (just one week of use), and I noticed that having the X5 in Parking position in front of the garage wall, if I turn to the right the steering wheel, the xenon light move and point to the right, then If I return to the middle the lights return also to the middle, the problems begins if I try to turn to the left, becase the light does not move (point) to the left. If this behavior right or probably a malfunction ? Best Regards. |

They aren't supposed to turn to the left so they won't blind oncoming traffic on left-hand corners.

There was another thread about this recently. Apparently, it only turns left after a certain speed, after a certain angle. As mentioned, this is to protect oncoming drivers.

Lights will not turn to the left when you are stationary, only while driving.

They also will not turn at all if the headlight switch is not in the "auto" position.

As someone else already said, the lights won't turn to the left much past a degree or 2.
