WIPER ALERT

My wipers in my 2002 4.6is stopped working in the middle of a rainstorm... scary but fortunately not far from my house. After researching this site for advice I proceeded to pop off the cowl cover and sure enough the wiper motor bolts were loose! I tightened them and took a trip to the local dealer and picked up a wiper relay 61.36.8.384.505 for $23. It's located in the engine compartment-passenger side-under the cowl. Look for a large square plastic cover held down with 4 torx screws... brown relay way in the back. After replacing wow the wipers now are running like a champ! My advice to everyone is to pick up this cheap relay and take a 1/2 hour to replace and tighten those wiper motor bolts as a preventive strike... cheap and easy insurance against a rainy day wiper failure especially late at night or far away from home. Enjoy!
