Just purchased and need repair help

Hello fellas, I just got an X5 and have to fix the armrest leather. It seems this is common based on pictures while I was shopping to get one.

For those that have fixed this, whats the process? remove the entire panel tuck it in and perhaps add some glue?

Any help is appreciated. Do I need to purchase anything known to break while removing it?

thanks
