i think hes saying that the people who post more on this forum will gain more knowledge about their cars. This forum has pointed me to many solutions that are DIY or just plain cheaper than the dealer route. I have avoided getting ripped off and screwed by the dealer so many times because of this forum! and honestly guys, I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH!

This forums has helped me gain much needed knowledge on this truck. I don't post much, but all the reading I've done has stuck in my head. While I'm not very technical with cars, I do know problematic areas of these trucks and can only hope to DIY later on in life.

This forum has been a great help. Since I found it, I've saved a ton on maintenance, and prevented other problems down the road. Though I don't post much anymore, I'm always lurking.. and I'm still here guys!

1+

and I have to laugh when you hope you have less problem with a volvo and a dodge. here in europe bmw is on top when it comes to quality. even best:

FN50: BMW tops 881,000 vehicle reliability survey

and in sweden the xc90 3 of 4 cars have fault/problems.

Yeah, you pretty much nailed it.

I will be the first to say that many modern BMW's are not as reliable as other makes will be. I have a lot of posts and my X has been below average as far as reliability is concerned. However, I did my homework and realized what I was getting into before the purchase. I have also owned nothing but used BMW's since I was 16. It seems to me that many people who come to these boards bashing BMW have a very low post count and may not have done much research about their X before purchasing it. From what I have read, most want their cars to drive like a BMW, but have the reliability of a Lexus/Acura. As someone has already said, it is a trade off and that is not the case. BMW's are very expensive to own and maintain. They also have their quirks and are on the middle to low end of the reliability scale as a brand in general. Then again, that is something people should know before buying one, imo.

These threads bother me for the fact that statdoc pointed out earlier. What did the OP expect to get out of this post? Calling the cars we own and love crap? It is a direct insult to all of us. Why bother saying anything in the first place? If so, just say you had problems and move on, no need to insult the cars all of us drive, imo. BMW's aren't for everyone, so to the OP, buh bye.

Hope your Volvo came with an old school brake pedal. What a total piece of "crap"!

There's less things to function normally on the Ram. And, I'd give more credit to Cummins, than to Dodge.

Good Luck with the future rides.

Wow what's with the "few posts" comment. I'm on this site almost every day for the very reason of gaining more info about my X5 just like Naz24 said.

As far as driving a Volvo, please remember when traveling on curvy mountain roads and the guy behind you flashes his head lights, please find a safe spot and pull over so me and my X can do some carving.
