groan at 87mph????

Love my x5....just bought it used at 80k..I have a groan in the floor from the right front wheel at 85 -90 mph only...I had a cv joint installed under warranty at Dealer and no fix...Wheel bearing? Strange it only happens between 85-90 mph.This is not my first Bmw,and i understand the sensitivity of unbalanced tires,but....with the groan in the floor im thinking bearing?Any thoughts........thanks for your input

Did you say 87mph? Could it be that the flux capacitator is not working properly?


Just kidding, sorry I couldn't resist. If it persists when turning one way but not another it may be your wheel bearing. But I would start with the tires before addressing that.

It's warming up.

I would look at the wheel bearing and balance of wheel/tire.

87 mph is also 2800 rpm.....Alternator bearing
