Wheels for snow tires: BBS RK or BMW M Parallel?

I just ordered a set of LM-60 runflats for my 4.8is (255/55R18) and am trying to decide which wheels to use.

Should I use M Parallels or BBS RKs?? 18x8et13 and 18x8.5et13, respectively. I think I'm leaning towards the RKs, since they don't have anything mounted on em right now.

Anyone have pics of RKs on an X5? How bout any other pics of the M Parallels?

Up front, 8" ET13 should sit slightly past flush, 8.5" ET13 might require front fender arches. Recommend 30mm spacers on the rear pair.

Both sets of wheels are aesthetically pleasing, imho. win/win

Test fitting the M Parallels I did notice they were pretty much flush. I'd like to avoid any poke both for looks and to avoid the spray of road debris.

Still undecided.

I test fitted the RKs and they don't stick out too far. They look really nice on the truck, so I think I'm gonna go that direction.

Hopefully the spray from the road isn't too bad.

For a truck, I think I like the look of the RK's. Would be nice to see a photo of them on an X. I absolutely love the M parallels on an older 5 or 7 series, but that photo of them on the X does nothing for me.

Curious to see how far out from the front fender the RK's/tires sit once mounted. In for pics.

For what it's worth, the optional front mudflaps meet the rear side of the optional front fender arches very nicely aesthetic-wise. If the "sandblasting" effect had road salt mixed in, it might be worth considering.

edit: also, curious on your impressions, if any, on having less mass to start/stop.

We will see if there is any less mass - the runflats LM-60s weigh 45 pounds a piece!!!

Thankfully the RK is extremely lightweight but I am still uneasy on the whole runflat thing.

At least I won't be changing any tires in a snowbank.

Preliminary pic:

The Blizzak LM-60 runflat is a very beefy tire - it looks like a mud tire and reminds me of my old Jeep Wrangler. Along with the low wheel offset the X looks like a purposeful off-roader. Not necessarily a bad thing, but certainly a contrast to the sporting nature of the 20" wheels.

I will definitely be ordering rear spacers, although I am not sure how big I will go. Front flares are almost necessary at this point, so I'd like to add those and then find the right rear spacer for them to sit equally.

I'll have more pics soon, it was dark out and I didn't have my SLR with me so just the iPhone pic for now.
