Help! #5 cylinder misfire?

I cleared my codes the other day and saw #5 cylinder misfire!
When I got home the other day I noticed that the engine stumbled while in park, at idle before I was going to shut it off.
Would a new coil on boot be the place to look?

Thanks
DM

sure, but it would really be helpful if you would indicate what engine size you have, year and maybe the color would help also.

Cyl misfire could be many things. Plugs themselves, clogged injector, stuck valve, coil pack, etc. What's the code?

This just happened to my wife's x5 (2003 4.4), same cylinder. Peake codes were 0F 3E (misfire random/multiple cylinders) and 0F 33 (Misfire cyl #5). Oil sep and piping was replaced a few months ago. She filled up with gas the night before and has driven a good 1/2 hour then and another 1/2 today before the code appeared and motor started running rough. Any ides what's most likely? Thanks!

I just had P1355 on my02 last week...

swap coil with know good cyl if problem follows then its the coil...

when you pull the coil look down at the spark plug and see if it has oil around it...if so valve cover gaskets need to be swapped first...
