EGR bypass valve

Hi all

I have searched around and havn't really got an answer

Has anybody fitted one of these bypass valves

Did you notice a difference?

The reason i'm asking as my 2006, 30d, 30K has just had a service and the fault code for the egr valve has come up we've cleared the fault code and put some forte advanced diesel in the tank

I was thinking of taking the valve off and cleaning it out but then spotted a bypass valve on fleaby and wondered if it was worth it
