I've done driven on a ~25 second autocross course too, albeit not competitively so my times were nowhere fast. It can be done, but I think it is the equivalent to driving a boat on the course. Nevertheless, my 17" all-season OEM MXV4's don't give any notion of squeal when it breaks loose and its mile-high sidewall numbed the feeling of the road.

yeah, summer oem rims are super cheap on craigslist.com. look often and be patient. past set I got had 50% oem Michelin rubber on them for $200. yeah, $200 for all four!!
i think $400-500 should be reasonable. all season tires are fine for your daily commute when your winters are stored. |
