This has to be a failing blower motor, right?

My new (to me) 2005 X5 3.0 has a "tweeting" blower for the heat and a/c. It really gets bad after a right turn. My former X5 had the same symptoms before the blower died completely. I'm guessing the blower motor bearings are dying. My CPO runs out in 3 weeks. It's going to the dealer the week after next. Could this possibly be something else?

If you hear a tweeting or the sound of a bearing whining then yes. You should be able to hear the noise when at low fan speeds. Does your fan ever not work? If you have 3 weeks left of CPO then get them to replace the blower motor otherwise it will cost you at least a $1000 if not more. Because the whole dash has to come off to replace the blower motor.
