Recommendations for HID foglight kit

I'm looking to upgrade my fogs to HID. I am aware that this is an size H3 application. I would like some input as to which type I will need. H3 vs H3mini. I read and searched through posts and noticed a member here had a DIY writeup and he said he got a decent deal on a set. The set was Apexcone and did not have any errors. Can you guys recommend me a set, (brand, price, type). On the other hand, a friend of recommended me a low priced set for $50, but I am afraid of any errors or the overall build of the product. Thanks and I'd like to hear your experiences!

I've had good luck with $70 eBay kits with the slim digital ballast...

Regardless of the kit you get make sure to protect the connections from getting wet. All of them seem to use the same type of connectors. Even though they have seals water still will get through if there's too much. Depending on where you mount the ballasts watch out after driving in the rain or car wash. I gave up and wrapped all the connectors. Pain if I have to disconnect them but I don't plan on removing them constantly.
