Ah hah!! That was my problem! I replaced part 6 with relative ease but could not remove number 11 due to the pressure the bag was putting on it.. wow.. wish I had known this days ago. What's the procedure for deflating the bags? |

How this (Air out of Bags) is done...
Its right out of the Bently Manual. (BAVAuto has'em on sale right now)
In the trunk, after you remove the spare tire, on the passenger side just behind the back seat, is an air distribution manifold with two different colored (mine are red & blue) plastic air hoses. Fastened with a compression fitting. Loosen those compression fittings until you hear air hissing out. Give it 10 minutes or so. Then tighten back up - snug, not too tight. There ya GO! |

So in a nutshell... loosen the compression fittings until air is released from bags (re-tighten fittings), raise the rear, wheels off, R & R the parts (6 and 11 in my case), wheels back on, lower on jack in centre of rear to articulate the sensors, air bags fill up, remove jack, lower car onto wheels. Will I need my ride height re-calibrated?

Make sure u pull the fuse for the compressor first. When you lower it make sure you lower it slow so you don't slam the rear. Lit it fill before you completely lower it. Raise both sides at the same time and lower at the same time.

Is it in the glovebox like I have read somewhere? If so, is it marked as such or do I need to know the exact location in the fuse tray/bank?
