PART 2 Video - Weird engine noise

Hey guys.
On one cold night i decided to a take a little drive around since i barely drive my x5. So as soon as i turn on the car, i heard weird noise coming from the engine (either not engine) and few second later car almost like turned off by it self, but was able to keep up.

I am not sure if its normal or not, but something tells me its not. A made a little video so please watch and listen carefully to the engine sound

It starts on 2:25

YouTube - X5 noise
I dont want to sound too dummy but my guess - water pump, bad coil, spark plug and last one alternator is failing (m5james opinion, thanks)

I am planning to drive up to Big Bear lake , and not sure if it is a good idea

Thank you very much guys

------------UPDATE -----------
First suggestion i followed is to fill up the tank , so i did ,,, didnt feel the difference though. and this time you could hear the noise as soon as i turn on the car !!! PLEASE LISTEN carefully !!!!!

hi, to me it chokes in the moment when a secondary injection pump quits,
I heard a metal tapping noise in that moment,is that what you're concerned about?
Otherwise I hear just a squeaking and Vanos noise.Mine is 4.4i and Vanos sounds the same as yours,no squeaks here though.
The tapping noise like that I heard only once when my e36 318 was overheating.Stuck valve?

is it normal for secondary pump to quit ? It's the way it works.
and yes metal noise that i am concern about, I see, does it do it constantly or it was the first time?
and i am not really famiiar with vanos noise, is that bad ? VANOS rattle is a common thing, not sure if it's normal, mine disappears after a long Highway speeds drive,I am planning to get a thicker oil and check if it helps a bit to reduce the noise, but it doesn't really bother me.
stuck valve i even wont be able to check myself It was just a guess,I would recommend you to chime Weasel or Killcrap on this board, and ask for their opinion. As I said I had it only once and it was my old(sold ) e36 318i when it was overheating(cracked head and engine swap afterward),it would come and go then come and go again.
But I am not a specialist,so don't take it as a diagnosis for your problem.

That's the first thing I noticed . Cold weather means there is more moisture in the gas. You let that tank run that low, all sorts of bad stuff try to get into your engine. I shutter when I get below half, in the winter those gas tanks stay above 3/4. Maybe just me being weird.

I cleaned my engine with P21s All purpose cleaner; engine looked fantastic!!! belt started to squeek ever so slightly. Took me a few days to narrow it down. Baby powder on it and all is well now.

No Engine light, no weird sounds to me... All I can hear is typical Vanos rattle.
