I've had center support bearings replaced on every one of my BMWs over the past 30 years, most recently for the second time on my '97 528. One of the weak links on most BMW's I suspect.
However, I've had a vibration on my '04 ever since my trans was replaced under warranty too, but mine starts at 75 and gets worse as speed increases. Tires were replaced, center support bearing was fine, front drive shaft was checked for runout, but still have the vibration. Now the dealer wants to pull the transfer case, but since I'm out of warranty as of this past September, it'll be at my expense. I'll be curious to hear how you make out.
