In my day I was issued a Walther PP and 30 rounds against terrorists with AK47/AR15 long guns and assorted handguns.
On duty we had Stirling SMG/M1 Carbine/SLR/Lee Enfield/Mini 14 to play with depending on the area your station was situated in.
