Can CPO vehciles buy BMW Extended Vehicle Protection ??
I read the fine print and technically CPO vehciles can buy the Certified. But when i asked a BMW dealer he said no.
Any input appreciated Mine is a CPO 2005 and has less than 80k, would like to get a coverage BMW North America If your vehicle is no longer covered under the BMW New Vehicle Limited Warranty (and has less than 80,000 miles and less than seven years from the in service date) at the time of vehicle enrollment, then your extended coverage option is Powertrain Plus. You have the option of choosing between three different terms of extended protection***: 1-year/12,000 miles 2-years/24,000 miles 3-years/36,000 miles |

If your car is CPO'd, then isn't the CPO warranty still in effect? As for after the CPO warranty expires, I THINK that there's a limited time after the expiration for BMW to sell you the Powertrain Warranty. Just call up another BMW dealer with your VIN and let them know you're interested in giving them business by purchasing the warranty through them instead. As for a better/more comprehensive coverage, why not shop around for an aftermarket/third party warranty? For the same price as the BMW Powertrain Plus, you can probably get twice the coverage from a third party warranty.
