2005 X5 AMPLIFIER QUESTION

Wondering if any of you could help out with an audio question. I have a 2005 BMW X5 with a water damaged amplifier. The amp is an ALPINE made part P/NO: 65. 12-8 379 376

My question to any of you would be whether or not i am able to use another BMW amplifier if I had the unit re-coded afterwards.

Reason is that i am having a hard time trying to find the exact replacement part.

Thanks in advance.

the old leaking sunroof problem? the amp is the only part i didnt have to replace due to a leaking sunroof. all of them were 01-06 exchangeable so id imagine the amp is.

try to cross it here. leave the dots and dashes and spaces out

Thanks for the advice, i was hoping this was the case. This should make sourcing this a bit simpler.

On another note, would a DSP amp work? Is it more powerful and can bit be coded to a non DSP system?
