Well, the official word is that the battery was the problem. The fuel system had a leak down test performed and it was perfect. That eliminated the injectors. Next was the battery test which proved that it was faulty. 505 cranking amps out of 720. Most likely the weak battery was having trouble supplying all the voltage it takes to run these power hungry cars. Only time will tell. I'll update as I find out.

Dont think you need to worry about time... Look at my post (#17) on the thread I started about my failing battery.

I had cranking problems from time to time, which I posted on this thread, and now you are pretty much confirming what my problem was, and to some extent what your problem is.

Lets hope this correlation is that simple!

Another update guys. The battery did not fix the issue. Still having a slight delay upon start up. 3-4 cranks before the engine finally fires. It doesn't matter if it's cold, warm etc. I'm now looking to replace the fuel filter/regulator. It's cheap and relatively easy to replace. I'll report back.

have they tried updating the computer? also sometimes if you just turn the key to on for a 2 count before cranking, it gives the computer time to start up.

What a load of crap that statement turned out to be!

The cranking problems happened last night (I guess its been about a month since the last time, which is about right..) so the battery 'fix' isn't my problem. Back to the drawing board!
Hope you come to a conclusion soon dinan.

Mine's all sorted now turned out to be a crack in the exhaust manifold.All replaced now and working fine.
